The Woodlands
The Woodlands began in 1974, initially as an alternative to living in Houston, as it’s less than 30 miles from the metropolis. It’s now a village of 111,000 residents, 2,000 businesses, with a governing board of directors committed to financial solvency, citizen safety, and attracting tourists who contribute to the tax base.
The Woodlands Economic Development Partnership works diligently with the Board to attract new commerce to the village. The team connects potential ventures with employees, helps with government and regulatory processes, and helps existing employees integrate into life in The Woodlands. The result is a thriving economic environment that continues to gain momentum.
