Conroe Independent School District: Cornerstone of Texas education

Conroe Independent School District (ISD) is a 348-square-mile school district made up of over 60 campuses. It is one of the fastest growing districts in Texas with average enrollment growth of 1,500 students every year.

The district serves communities in the Houston Metro like The Woodlands, The Woodlands College Park, Shenandoah, Oak Ridge, Grand Oaks, Conroe, and Caney Creek. It also serves other small towns, communities, and unincorporated areas within its periphery.

The Conroe ISD curriculum

Conroe ISD provides exceptional education and equal opportunities for all of its students. That way, they can graduate with confidence and competence built from quality instruction and leadership.

Alongside its excellent science, math, and social studies programs, Conroe ISD also provides Advance Placement and Fine Arts courses. Through this, students can be challenged to maximize their academic and creative potential for success.

Conroe ISD also has a department for gifted prodigies so that not only their talents and skills can be honed, but also their integration with peers and other members of the community. Special reading intervention programs were also crafted for those with dyslexia and those learning English as a second language.

What makes Conroe ISD a cut above the rest?

Conroe ISD is among the top performing schools in the country. Its achievement scores in national standardized tests like the SAT and ACT are well above the state and national averages. The district also takes pride in its high graduation rate – said to be among the highest in the state.

In 2015, the title of Honor Roll District was bestowed on Conroe ISD by the Educational Results Partnership and the Institute for Productivity in Education. It has also been recognized by the Education Resource Group for its high academic achievement while maintaining cost-effective operations.
